Not too many people get to live the dream, which of course is different for everyone. However, I can say that I am one of the lucky ones... I have seen my dream play out, getting to do the two things I love the most: parenting and photography, all that along side the love of my life! I. Am. Happy!
My father dabbled in photography and began to pass on his love for his hobby to me at a young age. I put the cameras down when he passed away just before my 14th birthday, but that only lasted four years, as it was time to follow through with what we both loved the most. I began shooting again my senior year of high school, studied photography while earning my BS at Kansas State University (spent most of my time making photos come to life in the dark room; I can still smell the chemicals today!), and have had photography as part of my everyday life ever since. My continuing education with photography is constant; I am a member of Professional Photographers of America and I keep busy attending conferences, seminars, workshops, and practicing, practicing, practicing! My future goal is to receive my Photography Certification thru PPA. And in case you are wondering, the company name stems from me being an identical twin, something that very much defines who I am. {So if you see me out and about and I act like I don't know you, it's because it's her!}
What a blessing to turn my passion into my career! I love the opportunity to create senior and family portraits that will hang in someone’s house forever, or capturing the personality of a young child, or a moment that will never be lost. I also enjoy photographing corporate events, and occasionally getting to hang with a celebrity or two. What a treat!
