I have been making photographs for many years; my first camera came from my parents on my 12th birthday where I got to first use it at a magic show that same day. I have been a hobby photographer documenting the lives of my children and loved ones over the years. I finally decided to pursue photography as a business because I love it so much and my husband and I want to be able to travel; I can take my business with me wherever I go. Currently, I call Chewelah and Spokane, Washington home.
God has granted me the most valuable gift of all; I am joyfully called mom by two amazing humans, the lights in my world who show me the true meaning of unconditional love. I am blessed indeed. My son, Morgan, graduated from high school in 2017 and is taking a break from school for a year before pursuing a college degree, likely in the medical field, and is working full-time. My daughter, Victoria, will graduate from high school in June 2019; she is finding a love of the arts, mainly in music, drama, and writing. I am also happily married to Tony. He keeps us hopping with spontaneous changes in life.
My biggest passions, next to photography, are scrapbooking and card-making; really any kind of craft appeals to me. I also love to read, especially on warm days when I can curl up outside and enjoy a good book and some sunshine.
This photography journey has definitely proven that I am a mom in everything I do. I find that I am most passionate about portrait photography. I love all aspects of it, especially making connections with people and building relationships. My specialties are family, children, and senior photography with a smattering of weddings along the way. I especially enjoy working with teenagers – I had the privilege of photographing my daughter’s drama group this past winter during their winter production of Fiddler on the Roof, and have been having a wonderful time. These young people are fantastic, I find that being with them and building relationships with them is what fills my bucket. It’s where I feel most at home. I’m definitely a mom.
I’m a photographer who is eager to capture the moments that are passing by far too quickly. It is my hope that I can become a lifetime visual storyteller capturing all the love and life moments in life through my lens.
