Welcome! I'm Samira - the family and couples photographer behind Maë Lans Photography. My love of photography was born with the arrival of my daughters where I felt the urgency to hold onto those fleeting moments that I'd otherwise never see again. I now feel incredibly fortunate to be serving families in Seattle's Eastside and beyond. Given that my photography is rooted in the warmth of authentic family moments, my sessions are a chance for families to be present and connect with each other. The resulting heirlooms are in digital, physical and immersive virtual reality formats that families and couples can cherish for decades to come.

Can you walk me through your process?
My process is a bespoke experience designed to help you feel cared for from beginning to end. It starts with a pre-shoot consultation where I learn about your family and what you most want to preserve from this season of life. I provide styling guidance along the way, with the option to book a private consultation with my stylist for more personalized wardrobe support. On session day, we move at an unhurried pace so you can simply be present with your loved ones while I capture your connection with intention and care. After your session, I’ll share a preview gallery slideshow from which you’ll select your favorite images, and those selections will then be fully edited and delivered in high resolution.
Do you offer a pre-session consultation?
Absolutely! This is an important part of my process. We will meet or have a video call where I can gain a deeper understanding of your vision, provide guidance on what to wear and what to expect, and answer any questions you might have.
Will you help style me?
Yes! I provide guidance on how to dress for your photoshoot. I also collaborate with a seasoned stylist who can also be consulted with as an add-on.
