Richard B. McGee is the lead photographer at rbmcgeeportraits. He has been involved in the study and creation of fine photographic images since his teenage years. He developed his technical skills through association and training with many professional photographers including portrait artists, wedding photographers, traveling photojournalists, news photographers, and landscape artists. He embraced digital image capture and computerized image processing as soon as the technology became commercially available. He still has an appreciation for fine film photography, and will still photograph and process roll or sheet film from time to time. He has taught in the Associate of Arts college curriculum program in the Photographic Technology Department at CVCC in Hickory, NC for five years, with the History of Photography being his favorite subject for instruction. Richard and wife Suzanna have actively operated rbmcgeeportraits from their Hickory NC studio since 2004. Their photographic mission is to provide each client with images that are treasured for years to come; images that become a valued part of their client’s legacy and family history. Understanding these critical elements; light quantity and quality, line, form, tone, texture, and contrast, and combining them into artful compositions with the use of the most current imaging technology is at the heart of rbmcgeeportraits mission.
