Magical Memories by Michelle, LLC

Hi! I’m Michelle Robertson, owner and photographer at Magical Memories by Michelle in Mesa, Arizona. I specialize in senior portraits for high school and college seniors throughout Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Queen Creek, Phoenix, Scottsdale, and the East Valley.

Senior pictures should be more than showing up, smiling at the camera, and hoping for the best. I want every senior I photograph to have photos they’re genuinely excited about and an experience that feels fun from beginning to end.

You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do in front of the camera. That’s my job! I’ll help with everything from choosing outfits and planning locations to posing you down to your hands and making sure you look amazing without feeling awkward.

Sessions are designed around each senior, whether that means downtown, desert, water, sports, dance, a favorite car, cap and gown, or something completely different. We can even keep shooting after the sun goes down for senior pictures at night.

I’ve been photographing seniors and teens for 17 years, and I still love creating something different for every person who steps in front of my camera.

If you’re looking for senior pictures that don’t look like everyone else’s, I’d love to meet you!

My session fee covers the time and planning that go into creating your senior session, including your pre-session consultation, personalized session planning, help with outfits and locations, and the photo shoot itself. Portrait Photography, primarily tweens, teens, high school seniors, and college grads.
I specialize in high school and college senior portraits, including guys and girls, sports, dance and performing arts, cars, cap and gown, and After Dark night sessions. I also photograph teens and tweens, with every session customized around the person in front of my camera.
I offer fully retouched digital images along with beautiful finished artwork, including Heirloom Albums, Signature Silk Wall Portraits, Image Boxes, Storyboards, metal and acrylic prints, Senior Videos, and personalized Mobile Apps. I love helping families choose pieces they’ll enjoy now and still have long after senior year is over.
Yes! Digital images are included with all of my portrait collections, so you’ll have your favorite images to keep, share, and enjoy. I also offer beautiful printed artwork, including heirloom albums, wall portraits, image boxes, and more, so your senior pictures don’t have to live only on a phone or computer.
Every senior starts with an in-person consultation so we can get to know each other and start planning a session that fits them. We’ll talk about outfits, locations, interests, sports, cars, hobbies, and anything else they might want to include. Before the session, I help with outfit choices and all the little details so no one has to figure it out alone. On photo day, I guide my seniors through everything. They don’t need to know how to pose or what to do with their hands—I’ll take care of that! After the session, I personally edit and retouch the images, and then we meet again for the reveal and ordering appointment. That’s when seniors and their families get to see their finished images for the first time and choose their favorites, along with albums, wall portraits, image boxes, and other artwork. From our first meeting through the finished products, I’m there to help with every step.
Absolutely! Every senior and their parent meets with me in person before booking. It gives us a chance to get to know each other, talk about what they’re looking for, go through session options and products, and make sure I’m the right photographer for them. Once they book, we’ll start planning all the fun stuff—outfits, locations, sports, hobbies, cars, and anything else that will make their session their own.
Of course! I’ll help you plan your outfits so you have plenty of variety and everything works well with the locations we choose. You can send me outfit ideas, bring options to your consultation, or ask me when you’re stuck between two choices. I also have a Style Closet with pieces and accessories you can borrow to add something extra to your session. You don’t have to figure it all out on your own!
I don’t have a traditional studio, but I photograph both indoors and outdoors throughout the Phoenix East Valley. I love having the flexibility to choose locations that fit each senior, whether that’s downtown, in the desert, near the water, on a sports field, in a gym, or at a unique indoor location. I use both natural light and creative off-camera lighting, so we aren’t limited by the location or even the time of day. Some of my favorite sessions keep going after dark!
Session fees are non-refundable retainers that reserve your date on my calendar. I understand that sometimes things come up, so if you need to reschedule, just reach out to me as soon as possible. Rescheduling is handled on a case-by-case basis, and I’ll always do my best to work with you.
