What makes me unique as a photographer?

My creative ability to capture my clients’ personalities through pictures that tell stories. Whether it’s infants, families, milestones, or brands, a lot of thought goes into how I can best capture a story within each photo.

FROM MODEL TO PHOTOGRAPHER
I worked in front of the camera as a model, a career that literally started on a dare. To hide my fear of being in front of an audience, I pretended to be an actor walking the runway. After several years, I realized what I loved most about photography was being part of creating an entire atmosphere – a story – that led to beautiful, finished images!

POINT-AND-SHOOT BEGINNINGS
When I became a mom to twins, I wanted to remember the ever-increasing fleeting moments. I grabbed a point-and-shoot camera to start capturing those memories, rediscovered my ability to express stories in pictures, and knew I had to pursue photography as a career.
I quickly taught myself photography skills, significantly upgraded my equipment, fell in love with all aspects of lighting, got a master’s in photography, became a certified professional photographer, and taught enough workshops about photography that I became a master craftsman.

YOUR EXPERIENCE IS MY PRIORITY
My number one priority as your professional brand photographer is ensuring you have an amazing experience during the session. I enjoy getting to know people and their passion for their business, and I strive to help them feel comfortable in front of the camera. I encourage fun – all the time – and love bringing your ideas to fruition.

FRIENDS: I’LL BE THERE FOR YOU!
I’m a huge fan of the show, ‘Friends’. You’ll instantly notice its influence when you visit my studio, and through my interactions, as I have a bit of each character in my (sometimes goofy) personality. I love meeting, including, and getting to know people – hearing the stories they share. And I love it when people relax enough around me to show me their real smile, not a cheesy Chandler smile.
With every encounter, I put a lot of thought and care into the finished images. Whether it's creative images for personal business branding, newborns, high school seniors, families, or my own creations, a story unfolds within each image.

FUN FACT
I was featured on Good Morning America’s website for my Friends-themed newborn photo shoot that went viral in early 2020 – right when our world changed, and we needed positivity. (You can find the series of photos easily with an internet search.)
Let’s be friends and get started on telling one of your stories in photographs today!
