Lorraine Howard Photography

Hi everyone! My name is Lorraine Howard.
I am SO VERY excited to have that name.... as I am a newlywed!
(Well, September 27, 2018 is when we got married, but I think we will be forever newlyweds!)

We recently moved to a beautiful town named Quitman that we have fallen in love with! My husband is the worship leader at Church on the Rock and I am blessed to be on the worship team with him. It brings me so much joy to worship right alongside him. Then we opened our dream Photography Studio at 113 E Elm St, Winnsboro TX on September 1, 2022. It is absolutely perfect!

When we first got married, we lived in Texarkana, Texas for two years.
Prior to that, I lived for 30 years in Redding which is located in Northern California.
I did live in Arkansas when I was a little girl and I longed to be back in the south, where I belong! I am now blessed and proud to say that East Texas is our HOME!

I have been a professional photographer since June 2010.
Wow! Time flies by when you do something you absolutely LOVE!

I am a mama to 8 children. What?!?! Yeah, you read that right, 8 kiddos.
I have been a foster mom to 99 children and found through photographing each of these sweet kids that I truly had a passion for photography. Most of them have grown up and moved out. I do have 3 ADORABLE kiddos still with us though. One who is VERY interested in photography, so you will probably get to meet her at your session as she wants to be just like her mama. I love this so much because I fell in love with capturing memories by working beside my daddy when I was a little girl!

This photo shows how happy I am in my element. I am known as the "baby whisperer" to my clients.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE working with newborns! It's like my favorite job EVER!

Now for something very dear to my heart... I donate my time and talents to organizations like "The Tiny Footprint Project" where I visit NICUs and take photos of VERY tiny babies and their families while they are in the hospital. Why is this so important to me? Well, my first-born was a micro-preemie born at 26 weeks. I missed out on all of the newborn photos. I only have 2 Polaroid photos to remind me how very tiny he was. I longed to have more memories of those precious, but very trying times. My heart goes out to those families and so I donate a full-session and all of their digital photos to them.

I also donate the same to Foster Agencies for their Seniors who are graduating high school.
So often, these foster children don't have professional portraits to remember such an important part of their life. I help them to feel GREAT about themselves and show them how very special they are. They receive their photo for their yearbook and a beautiful portrait to keep.
