A wildlife/nature photographer in the Columbia River Gorge on the WA/OR border; and co-owner of the longest-running artist-owned cooperative gallery in Hood River OR, 'Made in the Gorge'. I volunteer for conservation agencies including Cascades Pika Watch, E. Cascades Audubon Winter Raptor Surveys, Global Owl Project, Columbia Land Trust and WDFW. You can typically find me on a trail or dusty back road 3 - 4 days every week sometimes with a specific objective but often just to see what presents itself. I've had photo essays and wildlife articles published in local magazines; an article published for NANPA's blog and a cover photo for National History Magazine.
Prior to photography, I was a full time visual artist working with fiber, clay, pastels and glass. I used my own photos as reference material until friends suggested I sell my photos. I ran a production studio, selling wholesale and retail; worked with my local Arts in Education programs; and I taught kilnformed glass, specifically working with powdered glass on the national level.
