Kris's passion for photography started at a very young age and was strongly influenced by his father, John. He followed his father around with a camera in hand as a child and teen during family vacations and other events. Kris graduated from Merrimack College with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and minor in Italian. In addition to the course work for his degree, Kris also took many photography courses. These classes taught him black and white photography, developing the negatives, and printing the photograph. Having a foundation and understanding of film photography helped transition into the digital age.
In his time as Professional Photographer, Kris has photographed countless weddings and portrait sessions. He has also photographed events such as Frozen Fenway for the Boston Red Sox and the 4th of July Spectacular which featured performances by the Dropkick Murphys, Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts, Jennifer Hudson, and the Boston Pops Orchestra. He has been featured on the cover of New England Bride and other local publications.
Kris recently expanded his work into the Fine Art genre. Many local businesses have hosted Kris and displayed his work. He also has a couple of books showcasing different projects he has completed and is in the process of finishing up one now.
"I have a unique style. I start with traditional posing then transition into journalistic and contemporary styles. I am always studying lighting and posing. Photojournalism is about capturing moments and expressions as they happen, but I give slight guidance to my clients to bring out more expressive reactions."
