Hello! I am Keith Bernard, owner of K.R. Bernard Photography. What made me fall in love with photography was the combination of creative and technical elements that are essential to this craft. What made me decide to start a business was the realization that I can use this art form to connect with people and provide them with a way to tell their story. My approach is to listen, to understand where you are on your journey, to learn more about what milestone you are achieving or what story you are trying to share through your brand or business. Then we will work together to create opportunities where we can capture authentic moments that reveal the details of your story in the best way. This process will allow me to deliver a collection of photos that you will love and be proud of, something you will be eager to share, print, or use to promote your new endeavor.
My style is primarily based on lifestyle and editorial photography, seeking to create scenarios that reflect the individual and capturing true moments that help tell one's story in an authentic and compelling way.
In order to provide you with a unique look to your photos and a unique experience overall, I love offering the combination of shots in the studio as well as on location. Here in Colorado we are surrounded by great scenery and locations that make for wonderful backdrops. In addition to capturing photos at some of your favorite places, in the studio we can create many distinctive looks by being in full control of the light, creating beautiful lighting patterns that will make you look your best. Here it's not about where you were but simply about you. We will use light and shadow to help tell your story, capturing authentic moments that show you in your best light. And it will be gorgeous and flattering light, which we can create at any time of day, in any weather, any day of the year. The result will be a unique, editorial look to your photos, which can range from bright and energetic, to dramatic and compelling, or anything in-between.
Also in the studio, whoever is with you during the shoot will be able to see the photos in real time on a large monitor, and will be able to offer some helpful feedback during the session. Whether this is your friend, parent, makeup artist, or art director, the studio session will be a fun and engaging experience for each of you.
Additionally I will bring some of these studio techniques on location, looking for opportunities to use off-camera flash to enhance the natural light or create unique shots indoors. Having this combination available to you will make your photos stand out and give you far more options for telling, and capturing, your story.
