Katy In Design

South Florida Professional Equine & Pet Photographer

I have been a South Florida resident since 2005, an equestrian since 2007, and an animal lover since 1996 (as soon as I was born). I have had a wide variety of pets my whole life including dogs, cats, a horse, turtles, hamsters, you name it!

Animals have always been a big part of my life, and when I picked up my first camera at 15, I furthered my passion by turning my hobby into a lifestyle. I love looking back at photos of my first dog, my first pony ride, and my first horse show. Those are memories that I will hold in my heart forever. Treat yourself with unforgettable memories of you and your furry best friend that you’ll treasure forever.

Once a client has received my pricing info and has booked, paid, and signed their contract, the fun starts! I will send them emails up to the day of their session with tips and tricks. Clients can book zoom calls with me to go over their dreams, visions, and style ideas for their session. I'm here to help. On the day of the session, I arrive 30 minutes before the session to help my clients get ready, get to know my clients a little more so they are comfortable once the camera comes out, and scope out the location before we start. Portrait sessions (non-seasonal) sessions do not have a limit on the amount of people, animals, outfits, or time. We can continue the session as long as we feel necessary, as long as all participants are comfortable and posing (and as long as we have quality light). Some animals have less of a tolerance time with photos and that's totally ok! We work with what they give us that day, and since they are the stars, they run the show. Once the session has been completed, the client will receive their proofs within a week. The client can choose to order the products and images they love the most straight from my website, or they can schedule a zoom call with me to go over their images and receive my professional advice on what I think would best style their home/stable. Orders can take between 2-6 weeks turnaround time depending on volume and busy times of the year. I love when clients reach out to me after a session to tell me what their favorite parts of the session was, their favorite images, and what they're accomplishing in the show world. Keeping a strong relationship with clients for many years is something I find very important. I love my long term and returning customers and will always value their support.
