Dwayne Barnes

I'm a photographer, musician, and family person who has been living and creating in Austin, TX since 1991. I've been involved with photography off & on for most of my life as a creative outlet. In 2007 I set the goal of becoming a professional, and in 2012 I started my business. I currently specialize in people photography - portraits, headshots, events, editorial, intimate, illustrative, candids, & street photography. Because beauty comes from within, my goal is to create opportunities for emotion and life to spark, and become suspended in images. I mostly use Nikon cameras and lenses, in both digital and film mediums; though sometimes I use my Mamiya RB67s medium-format SLR camera, other vintage film cameras, or even my iPhone. I use natural light, speed lights, strobes, and LED (constant) light, and I photograph primarily on location. I'm based in Austin, Texas, but I love to travel!
