The Alchemy of Light Photography, LLC is a photography endeavor which uses old and new techniques to capture the world as reflected by learning, experiences and travels.
The name comes from the unique properties of light - where it can be both wave and particle at the same time - that impact how we see and are able to capture and reproduce photographs. Whether interacting with a silver-based film and printing paper, or a digital sensor, the special properties of light create interactions that are different for everyone who experiences them. When also factoring in the unique impacts that different lens designs and materials have on the transmission of light from the outside world to the capturing plane, the possibilities are boundless and allow significant artistic freedom to each photographer.
