I'm Caleb Buford, Creative Director of Caleb Buford Creative, a media production & strategy business focused on individuals and arts organizations here in the Paducah area. My studio isn't a physical space; it's the practice I've built around telling honest stories through photography, video, and writing, wherever the work takes me.
That work moves across a lot of ground. I'm an associate editor with Paducah Life Magazine, where I write articles and capture images for their bi-monthly magazine, six issues a year of local stories that keep me curious and connected to this community. Beyond that, I shoot portraits, document live performances and theatre productions, and create video content for individuals and organizations who need visuals that actually feel like them.
I work on location rather than out of a studio space, because I believe the places that already hold meaning (your home, a stage mid-rehearsal, a favorite spot outdoors) make for better photographs than any backdrop could. My editorial background shapes how I shoot: I'm less interested in posed perfection than in real, textured moments that tell a true story.
Whether it's a portrait session, a theatre production, or a feature for the magazine, my goal stays the same; to create work that's honest, warm, and true to the person or story in front of me.
