Can you walk me through your process?
Before signing contracts, I request to receive a creative brief, style guide/mood board, and/or shot list so I can create a custom estimate for the project which includes an itemized breakdown of expenses. Once signed off on by the client we discuss deadlines and what needs to go into the shoot and if we need to hire models, food stylists, or product stylists; if we need to source specific props, build a set, or if we need to rent a secondary location and need to pull permits. I will then hire the talent needed for the shoot, pull whatever permits are required, and will create a call sheet with times, locations, and everybody’s role & contact info. On the day of the shoot, I will take the inspiration from the mood board and style guide provided to create the lighting and set design with the help from the stylists and production assistants to capture the desired final images. At the end of the shoot, I will load the RAW images into Lightroom and begin the postproduction process – this process can take anywhere from a week to a month depending on complexity of the project and an estimated delivery date will be provided at time of contract signing. Images are delivered via password protected online gallery unless otherwise stated.
Do you offer a pre-session consultation?
Absolutely! The more details that you and I can work through beforehand the more smooth the shoot becomes.
Will you help style me?
With the help of a set designer, food stylist, or art director we will get you taken care of. Whatever it takes to create a successful shoot!
Do you have a studio?
I generally work out of my home kitchen or on location at the restaurant; but, for clients that need it, I will rent a studio or a stylized AirBnB/VRBO.
What is your cancellation policy?
I require a 30% non refundable retainer due at the time of signing contracts. This reserves your shoot on my calendar and covers rentals, prop sourcing, and model retainers. Cancellations up to 48 hours before the shoot day are 70% refundable. Cancellations 24 hours before and later are non refundable.
