I’m Beth Snyder, the photographer and heart behind Creations by Beth Photography, a full-service portrait studio based in Mokena, IL. I began this journey in January 2016, and over the years I’ve built a studio experience that blends artistry, safety, comfort, and genuine connection.
My specialty is photographing the moments families never want to forget — newborns, maternity, children, families, and milestone portraits. I gravitate toward the kinds of images that become heirlooms: soft, timeless, emotional, and full of meaning. My goal isn’t just to take a pretty picture; it’s to create artwork that tells your family’s story and still feels beautiful decades from now.
My studio is designed intentionally. It’s warm, private, and fully equipped so parents can walk in and breathe. I provide all the newborn wraps, props, outfits, textures, and wardrobe pieces needed for a stress-free session. Every detail is planned: the temperature, the lighting, the posing, and the flow of the session. Safety is non-negotiable — especially for newborns — and my training in newborn safety, wrapping, posing, and studio handling ensures each baby is supported and comfortable at all times.
I take time with every family who walks through my door. No rushing, no conveyor-belt sessions, no pressure. I guide parents with posing, help with styling, and make sure they feel confident throughout the entire experience. My approach is calm, patient, and focused on capturing real connection — the tiny details, the soft expressions, and the fleeting moments parents want to hold onto forever.
I became a photographer because I personally know the pain of losing the earliest memories. When my son was born, photos and videos from those first moments were lost, and I will never get them back. That experience shaped everything about how I run my studio today. I photograph with purpose, knowing that every image I create becomes someone else’s treasured memory.
At Creations by Beth Photography, I’m not just delivering photos — I’m helping families preserve the moments that matter. I love what I do, I care deeply about my clients, and I’m proud to create heirloom-quality portraits that families will cherish long after their children are grown.
