Amy Henderson Photography

I have spent quality time in many genres of photography, but I always find myself working with people. Weddings were my first love, then senior portraits.

I challenge myself to grow every year, playing with lighting and posing techniques with the majestic backdrop of our beautiful North Idaho scenery.
Learning control and consistency led me to studio portraiture and high volume headshots.

Today, I am the k-12 school portrait photographer (www.allstar7b.com) for my local district of nearly 4000 students. I visit 12 public schools in the fall and return to elementary schools in spring for class groups. Families visit the studio for retakes and homeschool picture day. Throughout the year we host studio mini sessions for children, tweens and teens. Summers are still for those gorgeous weddings and family reunions at the lake.

As a third generation photographer, I grew up in the darkroom and being the "photographer's kid" who always had to model for portfolio experiments. It wasn't my dream career, it was a way of life. My first assignment as a real photographer was headshots and class pictures for the ministry school where I met my husband in 2003. That sets me about 20+ years in this industry, and I have no regrets! I have built a freelancer lifestyle with a CEO mindset. I support a family of six on a seasonal and sometimes unstable income.

I have turned my passion for this business into a love for teaching business foundations for new photographers. Stay tuned for youth photography workshops because it's never too early to explore photography.

Serving Bonner County, Sandpoint, Schweitzer, Priest Lake, Priest River, Clark Fork, Hope and Beyond 😉
