What is the starting price for your photography services?
Each service is custom created for each client. Family Sessions begin at $290. Wedding Photography begins at $4500.
What is typically included in the starting price?
The starting price for weddings includes at minimum - 4 hours of wedding coverage, an engagement session, one photographer, digital images, and a wedding album design that can be upgraded. The starting price for family photography includes the creativity fee, location scouting, consultation and a gallery preview of selected images.
What is the price of your most popular package?
Each wedding client expects to pay around $6400 on average. For families, the average package comes to about $2400.
What is typically included in your most popular package?
The most popular wedding package includes 8 hours of wedding coverage, engagement session, timeline planning, resource guides, two photographers, a highlight wedding album, reveal and order session.
What primary photographic style do you identify with?
The primary style of photography I offer is documentary.
What photography services do you offer?
I offer wedding and family photography services. The sub-specialty of family services do include children and high school senior photography.
What photography items do you offer?
I offer digital files for weddings but also signature albums, wall art and galleries. For families, I offer print and album services.
Do you offer digital files?
For weddings I offer digital download of the entire wedding gallery. For families, I provide the digital copies of prints/album images purchased.
Can you walk me through your process?
I can! First, we do a discovery phone call where I get to know you and the relationships you share with those closest to you. Then, we sit down and go over all the services you are interested in. After booking, we complete your engagement session, timeline planning, and keep within great communication leading up to your wedding day. On the wedding day, I document your moments just as they happen in an artful and connective story. After the wedding, I edit and retouch your images. We schedule your reveal and order session for around 10 weeks after your wedding. We meet again, and this time you see your images for the first time ever. You will probably cry and go straight back to the feelings you had on your wedding day and select your favorite images. Once you have made your selection, I complete your order and hand deliver your products (if you are local). Family sessions follow the same process, but on a less intensive timeline.
Do you offer a pre-session consultation?
Yes! This allows us to begin building our relationship and for me to gain your trust as your photographer to document all the moments that mean the most so you can focus on being present with the ones who matter most to you.
Will you help style me?
Absolutely!
Do you have a studio?
No. I work on location with all of my clients.
What is your cancellation policy?
I require a non-refundable retainer fee for all sessions and weddings. There are no refunds given unless the date can be re-booked.

In 2002, Nicole turned her passion into her profession. After years of photographing her family, friends, and freelance clients, Nicole Thomas Photography came to life.

Since then, Nicole has become one of the premier child photographers in Chicago and its North Shore suburbs (while the sunny West Coast is quickly discovering her talent!)

Nicole specializes in images that celebrate individual personalities and that capture the spirit and essence of her subjects. Whether on-location with natural light or in her studio, her fun and energetic approach produces true-to-life images.

With a degree from Columbia College concentrating in both Photography and Graphic Design, Nicole brings a blend of creative perception, composition, and perspective to each session.

While the majority of Nicole's subjects are children, spontaneous and in their element, she excels in specialized portraiture ranging from corporate/executive headshots and child modeling to pregnancy and newborn photography. Her ability to capture natural yet professional images for each subject keeps things flexible and interesting...and fun!

Nicole works with such prestigious clients as Ford Modeling Agency (kids division), C.B. Richard Ellis and, of course, all of the wonderful families she has come to know over the years.

Her work is on display throughout Chicagoland and the North Shore at various children’s boutiques and businesses. It is also featured in the book, Little Red Heads Across America.
