My name is Jess, and I began my career as a Graphic Designer with a particular interest in Photography. I attended the Art Institute of Dallas for Graphic Design, and I have been employed as a Graphic Designer in the large format printing industry for over a decade. Photography has always been an integral part of my work; about five years ago I decided to dive in and learn how to create amazing images using only the camera. Once I began photographing my family- applying the techniques learned from numerous courses, webinars, articles, and tutorials- I felt a profound sense of satisfaction in creating something artistic with the intent of being treasured rather than sell or advertise something. I am currently employed part-time in the printing industry, and I believe it is precisely this experience that gives me an advantage when it comes to photography. Since the final product frequently includes a large format print of some kind, my vast knowledge about substrates, materials and printing methods can help my customers choose the perfect type of product for their intended use.
